Info: Roushi contained the four-tailed demon, which took the form of a large lava-emitting gorilla.. He was made a Jinchuuriki by Hidden Rock, at some point he and his village parted company. He travelled the world to try and understand his powers. He used his Bijuu to create Youton (Lava Element) Ninjutsu, a combination of Earth and Fire Elements that created a lava which could melt through anything. He was defeated in battle by Kisame.

Hunt for Uchiha arc

After an unseen and difficult battle with Kisame Hoshigaki of Akatsuki, Rōshi was somehow defeated and captured by Kisame. He later died as the result of having the Four-Tails extracted from his body.

Abilities

By borrowing the Four-Tails' power, Rōshi was able to use its Lava Release ninjutsu, a combination of Fire and Earth-based chakra. He was also shown with a unique, curved kunai.

The Four-Tailed Monkey (四尾の猿, Yonbi no Saru) is a tailed beast sealed within Rōshi of Iwagakure. Little is known about the Four-Tails, only that it allowed Rōshi to use its Lava Release abilities, a combination of fire and earth the likes of which have rarely been seen outside kekkei genkai. Kisame Hoshigaki of Akatsuki had difficulty capturing Rōshi because of this. The Four-Tails was later extracted and sealed, leading to Rōshi's death.
